Melee Weapons


Fist

Fist - The basic mode of self defense, fists are useful when fighting small groups of unarmed or lightly armed enemies.

Brass Knuckles

Brass Knuckles - A step up from fists, brass knuckles cause more damage to enemies and can knock them to the ground. Found behind Ocean Beach hotel.

Baseball Bat

Baseball Bat - Causing more damage to vehicles than other weapons, the baseball bat can be used to take down larger groups of lightly-armed enemies.

Nightstick

Nightstick - Like the baseball bat, the nightstick can be used to damage vehicles and take down enemies, but causes more damage. All cops carry nightsticks.

Screwdriver

Screwdriver - A good starter melee weapon, the screwdriver is good for fending off small groups of enemies. Can be used to stab enemies.

Hammer

Hammer - Like the screwdriver, good for fighting small groups of enemies. Also useful for damaging vehicles.

Meat Clever

Meat Cleaver - A better weapon than the screwdriver, the meat cleaver is useful for killing enemies more quickly than the other melee weapons.

Knife

Knife - Similar to the screwdriver, the knife is useful for stabbing enemies.

Machete

Machete - A bigger version of the meat cleaver, the machete causes more damage to enemies and can also be used to destroy vehicles.

Katana

Katana - The most powerful of the blade weapons, the katana can take down enemies in one or two swings. Found in the Tarbrush Cafe in the mall.

Golf Club

Golf Club - The golf club can be used for taking out enemies in a more distant range than the other melee weapons. Found at the golf course.

Chainsaw

Chainsaw - The chainsaw is the most powerful of the melee weapons. It makes running very difficult and slow, but can be used to take down large groups of enemies by running into them. Found in an open room in the pink apartment on the first island (with the Hermes parked outside).




Pistols


Colt 45

Colt 45 (Pistol)- The most commonplace firearm, the semi-automatic pistol is carried by all cops and causes a moderate amount of damage.

Colt Python

Colt Python (.357) - The most deadly of the pistols, the Colt can take down enemies in one shot, but cannot be fired while running. The Colt Python is named for its real-life counterpart.




Shotguns


Chromed Shotgun

Chrome Shotgun - A slow-firing powerful weapon, this is the basic shotgun and can be found in all cop cars.

Stubby

Stubby Shotgun - A sawed-off version of the shotgun. Can shoot with slightly more power, but has a smaller range.

Spaz 12

Spaz Shotgun (S.P.A.Z. 12) - A High-power rapid fire shotgun. Useful against multiple enemies.




SMGs


Tec 9

Tec-9 - A semi-automatic weapon, the Tec-9 has a high-capacity magazine and is useful against moderately sized groups of enemies. Can be used for drive-by's.

Mac 10

Ingram Mac 10 (Mac) - A semi-automatic pistol, the Mac 10 has a high rate of fire, but is relatively inaccurate and loses accuracy the more it fires. Can be used for drive-by's.

Uzi

Uzi 9mm (Uz-I) - A more powerful semi-auto weapon, the Uzi has a higher rate of fire, but cannot be fired while running.

MP5

MP5 (MP) - An H&K MP5 with retracted stock, the MP5 is a high-power rapid firing SMG. All FBI agents are equipped with the MP5.




Assault Rifles


Ruger

Ruger (Kruger) - A basic assault rifle, the Ruger fires with relative accuracy but lacks lock-on capability.

M4

M4 - A heavy assault rifle, the M4 is fully automatic and causes moderate damage, but lacks lock-on capability.




Sniper Rifles


Sniper Rifle

Sniper Rifle - A basic sniper rifle with crosshair-style scope. Relatively powerful, has the capability of zooming in or out.

PSG-1

PSG-1 (.308 Sniper) - A more powerful sniper rifle, the PSG-1 is named for its real-life counterpart and is equipped with a laser scope capable of zooming in or out.




Heavy Artillery


Flamethrower

Flamethrower - The flamethrower can burn anything within a moderate radius. Causes enemies to catch on fire and die.

M60

M60 - A slower firing helicopter gun, the M60 can take down enemies with one shot. Lacks lock-on capability.

Minigun

Minigun - The most rapid-firing weapon available, the Minigun can take down large groups of enemies at one time. Cannot be aimed but is powerful due to the fast rate of fire.

Rocket Launcher

Rocket Launcher - The most damaging weapon, the rocket launcher causes the most damage and lacks lock-on capability. Can only be used when further from targets.




Thrown


Grenade

Grenade - Grenades are effective in taking down larger groups of enemies from further distances. Can be thrown at various ranges, and can kill anyone within close proximity to the explosion.

Remote Detonator Grenade

Remote Detonator Grenate - Just like the regular grenades, except the remote detonator grenades can be thrown within a few feet and detonated when a safe distance away.

Molotov Cocktail

Molotov Cocktail - Molotov cocktails work best when a good distance away from enemies, and can be used to take down larger groups of enemies the same way the flamethrower does, with a greater range. Can be thrown at various ranges and can only be found at Tacopalypse on the mainland.

Teargas

Tear Gas (Original PS2/PC versions) - Tear gas grenades cause enemies to lose health when thrown. Can be found behind the police station in Washington Beach. Removed from all but the original PS2 and PC versions of Vice City.
